'Nothing To Lose' by Billy Talent - Guitar Tutorial
Song lyrics:
ARTIST: Billy Talent TITLE: Nothing To Lose TABBER: Luke Charman ([email protected]) ALBUM: Billy Talent GENRE: Punk Rock YEAR: 2003 BAND: Ian D'Sa (Lead Guitar) Benjamin Kowalewicz (Vocals) Jon Gallant (Bass) Aaron Solowonuik (Drums) --- Well, I've done my best here and I think it's all right. It's a tough song to play, in my opinion anyway, so I can't guarantee this is all tabbed perfectly. It's all there though, I didn't miss any bits out! --- Verse: e|--------0-------0-------0-------0-------------------------------0--| B|--------0-------0-------0-------0-------5-----5-------4-------4----| G|------6-------8-------4-------4-------5---5------------------------| D|----5-------7-------3-------3-------5-------5---5---4-------4------| A|--7-------9-------5-------5-------3---------------2-----2/3--------| D|-------------------------------------------------------------------| --- Pre-Chorus: e|--------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0--| B|------5-------5-------8-------8-------7-------7-------3-------3----| G|------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0-------0----| D|----5-------5-------9-------9-------7-------7-------4-------4------| A|--3-------3-------7-------7-------5-------5-------2-------2--------| D|-------------------------------------------------------------------| e|--------0-------0--------0--------0-------0-------0--0-------------| B|------8-------8-------12-------12------10------10----7-------------| G|------0-------0--------0--------0-------9-------9----0-------------| D|----9-------9-------12-------12------10------10------7-------------| A|--7-------7-------10-------10-------9-------9--------5-------------| D|-------------------------------------------------------------------| --- Chorus: e|--0----0----0----0----0-----0-----0----0---------------------------| B|--5----8----7----3----8----12----10----7---------------------------| G|--0----0----0----0----0-----0-----9----0---------------------------| D|--5----9----7----4----9----12----10----7---------------------------| A|--3----7----5----2----7----10-----9----5---------------------------| D|-------------------------------------------------------------------| --- Song Order: --- Verse x4 Pre-Chorus x1 Verse x6 Chorus x3 Verse x4 Chorus x4 Verse x2 The song ends on a strum of the fourth chord from the chorus (x24030). --- Lyrics: --- Need more friends with wings, All the angels I know put concrete in my veins. I'd always walk home alone, So I became lifeless, just like my telephone. (There's nothing to lose) when no-one knows your name, (There's nothing to gain) but the days don't seem to change. Never played truth or dare, I'd have to check my mirror to see if I'm still here. My parents had no clue That I ate all my lunches alone in the bathroom. (There's nothing to lose) when no-one knows your name. (There's nothing to gain) but the days don't seem to change. (There's nothing to lose) my notebook will explain. (There's nothing to gain) and I can't fight the pain. Teacher said it's just a phase, When I grow up my children will probably do the same. Kids just love to tease, Who'd know it put me underground at seventeen? (There's nothing to lose) when no-one knows your name. (There's nothing to gain) but the days don't seem to change. (There's nothing to lose) my notebook will explain. (There's nothing to gain) and I can't fight the pain. (There's nothing to lose) when no-one knows your name. (There's nothing to gain) but the days don't seem to change. (There's nothing to lose) when no-one knows your name. (There's nothing to gain) and I just died today. --- Comments? Questions? It's an okay tab, but I think it could use some improvement in the chord progression.

I agree with Blink Fan, the tab is good but there are a few errors in it.

I've noticed that the song mentions drop D tuning, but I didn't hear any notes played on the sixth string throughout the composition. Despite this minor issue, it was an excellent performance!

Hey, I've been listening to a lot of BT lately and it seems like most of their songs are in drop d tuning. What do you think?

I think the ending chord is wrong.
