'Creatures Of Habit' by Deicide - Guitar Tutorial
Song lyrics:
================================================================================================= Song: Creatures of Habit Artist: Deicide Album: Serpents of the Light (1997) Tabbed by Chris Rezendes ([email protected]) Tuning: Half step down Notation Key v: vibrato t: tremolo bar ^: bend .: palm mute ~: trill p: pull-off h: hammer-on x: ghost note /: slide up : slide down Comments: This song is badass. Deicide so rule. Even though their last two albums weren't that great. At least they were better than anything Korn ever made, lol. Anyway, this tab came out just beautiful IMO, and if you spot a mistake little Johnny, be a good boy and point it out to the nice tabber. Later, my flowerpots of evil. ================================================================================================= Riff 1 x4 e|----------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------| D|----------------------------------------| A|--22222222------------------------------| E|-----------2222-5555-00000000-33333333--| Fig. 1 x4 e|-------------------------------------------------------| B|-------------------------------------------------------| G|-------------------------------------------------------| D|--9------------8------------7------------6-------------| A|--7------------6------------5------------4-------------| E|--7-000000-023-6-000000-023-5-000000-023-4-000000-023--| Riff 2 x4 (Lives are worth nothing unless you have something to gain...) e|----------------------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------| D|----------------------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------------------| E|--555555-855555-366666-144444-00000000000000000000--| Riff 3 x4 (Eye for an eye, applaud when you die...) e|--------------------------------| B|--------------------------------| G|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------| A|---------------------333333555--| E|--0222-555555-000111------------| Riff 4 x2 (Creatures of habit, to cease to exist...) e|----------------------------------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------------------| D|----------------------------------------------------------------| A|--3--------2---1------0-----------------------------------------| E|---5555555---3--22222--11111--0-000-000-000-000-000-000-000-00--| e|----------------------------------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------------------| D|----------------------------------------------------------------| A|--3--------2---1------0-----------------------------------------| E|---5555555---3--22222--11111--0-000-000-000-141-000-000-000-00--| Repeat Fig. 1 x4 Repeat Riff 2 x4 Repeat Riff 3 x4 Repeat Riff 4 x2 Repeat Fig. 1 x4

Hey, I just listened to the song and noticed a couple of things that could be improved in terms of tabs or lyrics. Firstly, there's a typo where it says "found one", instead of "four". Secondly, on the part where Nick sings, the tab should go: |-4 . 4
|-2 . it should be. 4
|-2 .

The chorus wasn't completely accurate, and there are supposed to be harmonics instead of some muffled notes. Overall, this tab establishes a good backbone from which an experienced musician can listen, fine-tune, and correct this tab to more accurately reflect what was recorded.
