'One Thing' by Finger Eleven - Guitar Tutorial
Song lyrics:
Hi. Just a note that some of the changes might be off. The tabbing itself is flawless. Well, it sounds the exact same, even though it might not be how they do it. Who needs professionals, anyway? Hugs and kisses. Capo@ IV for whole song Intro and Verse- I divided it up into 3 parts Part I --------------------------- --------------------------- ---------------2----------2 -------------4----------4-- ----------5-----------5---- --------------------------- Part II ---------------------------- ---------------------------- --2-----2---------2---2----- -----4--------------4------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- Part III ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- -----4-----------------4---- ---2-----------------2------ -5----------------5--------- Now, for the Chorus, etc. Very simple chord change, and he repeats the same two over and over. For those of you who know your tabs, it's an E5 and an A add...something... I can't read my writing, looks like a 3 or a 5 but it's over E. Observe... E5 -----0----------------------- -----3----------------------- -----3----------------------- -----x----------------------- -----0----------------------- -----0----------------------- X4 before the switch Mystery Variation on A ----0------------------------ ----0------------------------ ----3------------------------ ----3------------------------ ----0------------------------ ----0------------------------ also X 4 before the next round of strumming OK! That's about it! You'll have to listen for the exact changes, etc, but this is the basic idea. Enjoy, kiddies. And feel free to e-mail me if I totally screwed it up and you want to bash my head in. Hey there! I just started learning guitar, and I've got to say, I'm really enjoying the process. I appreciate your breakdown of the intro and verse – it makes things so much easier for beginners like me to follow along. Even if the tab changes aren't completely spot on, it's great to know it still sounds good. It gives me hope that I can play my favorite songs too! Thanks for sharing this, it's super helpful for those of us just starting out. Keep the good stuff coming!
