Artists: Jamiroquai
Title: Didjital Vibrations
Bass Player: Stuart Zender
Transcription made by Phlippe Straforelli
Simple, but sweet. The whole song consists of one riff, with some
fills added on now and then. Being a fan of trip-hop, this song
reminds me a lot of the style, so it's easy to understand why it's my
favorite Jamiroquai song.
Basic riff:
G--)---------------------------------------------------------X-5h7--
D--)------.---.-----------------.---.----------------.---.-----------.--
A--)---5-5--5---(rest)---5-5--5--(rest)---3-3--3--------------
E--)-----------------------------------------------------------------
G--)-----------------------X--5h7---------------------------------
D--)---------------.---.-----------.-----------------.----.---------
A--)---(rest)--3-3--3-------------------5----5-5---5-----(repeat)--
E--)---------------------------------------------------------------
Remember that the notes with the dots are played in staccato.
Now, from time to time, Stuart adds some pretty cool fills between
the D's and the C's (during the second rest). Here they are:
Fill 1:
G--)-------------------------------------------X-5h7-----------
D--)------.----.--------------------.----.------------------- etc.
A--)---5-5---5----------------3-3---3------------------------------
E--)---------------X-X--3--------------------------------------
That one is played the most often throughout the piece.
Fill 2:
G--)----------------------------------------------X-5h7----------------
D--)--------.----.---------------------.----.-------------------------
A--)-----5-5---5-----------------3-3---3--------------------------------
E--)-----------------X-X--8------------------------------------------
That's played a couple of times in the middle part of the song.
Fill 3:
G--)-------------------X-11-13~~------------------X-5h7------------------
D--)---------.----.---------------------------.----.----------------etc
A--)------5-5---5-----------------------3-3---3-------------------------
E--)--------------------------------------------------------------
That one's played around the end a couple of times.
